The hosts - team of Galatasaray make a sensation on transfer market with brough two top-players : Wesley Sneijder and Didie Drogba ,so its a just matter of time they to return investments with good play and results .Galatasaray hoping to reach the CL quarter-finals for the first time since 2001 but will have to improve on their recent efforts against German visitors - this will be not an easy task but in the face of experienced coach Fatih Terim this is not impossible .Since New Year Galatasaray played 4 times (till the moment ,i'll make updates later ) and after lost from Kasimpasa (4th) 2-1 away make win over Besiktas(3rd) 2-1 ( home )and 1-1 with Bursaspor (7th) (away) ,2-0 over Antalyaspor (4th) .The Turkish Super League are competition with serioz teams like Fenerbahce ,Antaliaspor ,Besiktas,Bursaspor so Galatasaray have the time and opponents to make final fine tuning in the squad .Another reason to expect strong performance from Galatasaray are the fans - they have very hot support at home and as Schalke played in Gelsenkirchen were have many turkish immigrants Gala will expect support away too .
The guests - team of Schalke 04 passed the group stage without a single defeat and finished as the leader ahead of Arsenal .Despite that they have some problems in recent games ,having draw 0-0 away with Augsburs (17th) and lost 2-1(home )from Greuther Furth (18th),loss 4-0 from Bayern M.(away) .This was very strange results for team placed 6th and with ambitions for more .I think that one of the problem could be new coach Jens Keller who replaced Huub Stevens in December .
Consideration: Galatasaray looks like team who slowly get in-form while Schalke go in other direction so with new brought stars Snaeijder and Drogba I going for Home win here .Good luck to all !

Sure DIKISANA, there will definitely be quite a number of Turkish supporters in Germany as well for the second leg. Starting with a home win will be key though. Let's hope this tip collects some profit then.
Yes you are rait David - at this stage no one opponent is easy - as for the stars - Snejder was in play last game while Drogba even scored (he come in in 63') ,so they should have some play-time for fine tune ! And when I talk for many turkish immigrants in Gelzenkirhen I would think for Galatasaray qualification - but my tip is for Home win in first game - for Qualification im not so sure !
I would like to see Galatasaray field some of the star names they have bought. It will not be easy to qualify against Schalke over the two legs. They have to win this one for a good start. I do remember they had difficulties in their first group games though, even at home.
I think that in front of own fans is much easy to play - Last reselts : Schalke make draw 2-2 away with Mainz while Galatasaray record another win in Turkey Super League 2-1 over Akhisar away !
You would think that if Galatasaray are to qualify they would need to make the most of the match in front of their very supportive home fans. I expect an atmosphere similar to the win we saw against Fenerbache.

Dikisana gool luck with your bet mate but I wouldn't back blindly Galatasaray...not at all! They won only 1 home match in group phase,against Manchester C Team. I don't think that the likes of Sneijder or Drogba will make any difference here as Sneijder needs match practise being out of the pitch for a considerable time now while the good old Drogba is not at his peak anymore...
Watch out for the new man at Schalke,Michel Bastos who fired 3 goals in his first two matches as a starter...
