Horoya will be hoping...
Guinea champions Horoya AC will host Cote d’Ivoire side Sewe Sports in their CAF Champions League preliminary round clash first leg this weekend.
Horoya will be hoping for a big first leg advantage with a tough trip to San Pedro to come in the second match.
Horoya have been the dominant force in Guinea football over the past few years, winning back-to-back league titles in 2011 and 2012.
Their participation in the CAF Champions League last season ended in the second round when they were beaten 4-1 on aggregate by Moroccan side Maghreb de Fès.
But that experience is likely to have held them in good stead for this year, if they can get past their formidable preliminary round opponents.
Sewe lead the current Ivorian championship by four points and are on a six-game unbeaten run, having showed formidable form in 2013 with five victories in that run. They are arguably the favourites for the tie, but it is a fixture that could go either way and it will be perhaps this first leg that determines its course.
