United didn't lose in first match against Real played in Madrid, they scored away goal and bookies still rate them as underdogs in this matchup. It doesn't make sense, but makes valuable bet on Manchester United to advance.
Mourinho managed to win Primera division with Real Madrid, and after two semi finals of Champions league, everybody expected he will make at least one step more in this competition, but in meanwhile chemistry in team became very bad, so in situation like that it is very hard to make good results even when you have in team such a players like Ronaldo, Higuain, Xabi Alonso, Sergio Ramos, Karim Benzema and others.
At the other hand it looks like Manchester United have learned the lesson from the last season when they lost the Premier league title and had bad performances in Champions league. In season 2012/13 they have big points advantage in Premier league title battle, but also they are performing very well in Champions league, no matter they didn't have lot of luck in draw before this stage.
Real Madrid didn't manage to win at Santiago Bernabeu and it will be much more difficult to win at Old Trafford, also United with away goal don't need to hurry with attacking opponent and it is pretty big advantage in matches like this one.
The odds are above expectations.

Fergie tactic looked pretty good actually, but it was more due to the lack of Real creativity and pace.
"Manchester United were playing very well. They were very compact, they were very aggressive, very well organised technically and the match was very difficult for us. I doubt with 11 against 11 we could win the match."
What Mourinho said says everything about the game...
I don't know what to say after such a match. This match brought big disappointment for Manchester United, but also all of us who placed this bet.
Before the match,everybody by mistake thought that bookies are mistaking that consider Real Madrid as favorite but as always,bookies get richer :-)
...they seem they knew such a poor referee would be officiating too.
Fergie did it again LOL. Rooney on the bench, Giggsy and Nani on the wings. Guess the bookies knew he will start with funny lineup.

Mourinho's attitude said it all. He was apologetic after the manner in which he emerged victorious.
Not much to say. Referee Cakir said it all. He must have felt a big man pulling out a red there. Unfortunately it was very much like pulling the trigger on his international career.
We won't hear much about him on these levels ever again. He chose the most expected match of the season to play prima donna ...and the show disgusted many around the World.
