Rayo Vallecano suffered a 5-0 defeat at Malaga last week and having suffered a 5-0 defeat at Atletico Madrid earlier already this season, they didn't really want to face a Barca side that just beat Ajax 4-0 this week.
Rayo won their first game here 3-0 over newly promoted Elche, but have lost the next 3 including the two 5-0 defeats. Barca on the other hand have won all 4 games including a 7-0 win over Levante. Away that beat Malaga 0-1, and Valencia 2-3. The only weakness for Barca appears to be in defence, Sevilla last week came excruciatingly close to getting a point at the Camp Nou when Messi burst into the box to set-up Sanchez to win 3-2 with the last kick of the game.
The last meeting between was at the Camp Nou back in March, Barca won 3-1 with a brace from Messi. In fact Messi has scored a brace in his last 3 games against Rayo and only got the 1 in the game before them. The last two meetings here were 0-5 and 0-7, it looks as though Rayo may have another night of picking the ball out of their own net again.
Barca to win by by 3+ goals is a tempting 2.5 but I'm taking the safer bet of Barca to get the win by half time.
Barcelona/Barcelona - Half Time/Full Time at 1.62
