Real Salt Lake to win at odds of 1.65
San Jose Earthquakes have been quite strong at home and won their last outing there by 3-0 against Montreal Impact, but the club needs more of those types of efforts on the road. San Jose have won just once on the road this season. A road record of 1W-3D-10L is partly what got manager Frank Yallop fired, but the club has not fared much better of late, having been held scoreless in seven of their last nine road matches. San Jose have been quite the opposite at home, which gives their supporters confidence that their side can turn it around. And San Jose Earthquakes beat Montreal Impact by 3-0 in a CONCACAF Champions League match on Tuesday.
Real Salt Lake return to Rio Tinto Stadium after having suffered a tough 2-0 loss at Seattle Sounders. RSL were dominated by their Western Conference rivals and as a result lost their spot atop the Western Conference table. RSL must take all three points from this match to have any hopes of reclaiming that and keeping pace with the likes of Seattle and LA Galaxy. RSL have one of the best home records, losing just once while winning 10 of 14 matches at home, so the club is likely to come out strong.
RSL should claim a comfortable victory.
