I have one more bet regarding tournament in Metz, and in this one i will try to find the outright winner. It is not an easy task, but i will give a shot.We have four players left. We have Tsonga, Mayer, Simon and Mahut.
Regarding Tsonga, this is his first week after injury break and he is recovering pretty well. I did not watch who he plays recently but needless to say that he is very strong opponent for anybody on the indoor courts. He does not have any loss in finals when he is playing in his home country and he won this tournament twice in a row and he is defending champion this year . he is bookmakers favorite by any odds, but he still does not have my confidence, he lacks matches and fitness, and he is currently without coach , it means that he is not so happy how his carrier progress. His opponent in semifinals is German player Mayer and he is good indoor player with very unique style of play.He did not had luck with his draw. I am affraid that Tsonga will be to much for him. I have all ready wrote about Simon in my previous analyzes and i dont intend to repeat myself. ATP Metz is not his favorite tournament, and in semifinals he will have really hard battle to reach the finals. He will face his fellow countryman Mahut who is playing his best tennis in this season so far. He won two titles and i wont underestimated his abilities in this fast conditions like bookmakers did. We cant also underestimate effect of big semi-final win, if he progresses to the finals. Surely he will get extra doze of self belief in his own abilities that he can actually be a winner of this tournament. My pick is that Nicolas Mahut will win ATP Metz.
