BEST IRAN VS NIGERIA PREDICTION

Correct score in 1st half: 0-0
Tipped at: 2.75 - 16th Jun 17:48
Iran face Nigeria in this encounter. Iran own one of the weaker rosters of this group, their best player is Ashkan Dejagah. Iran will have a very tought time advancing, Argentina and Bosnia are one class above them. Nigeria on the other hand own a solid squad, f.e. John Obi Mikel, Emmanuel Emenike, Victor Moses and talented player Ahmed Musa. They have a chance of advancing in this group, yet will be very tough. Expect not many scoring chances in the first half. 0-0 will be very difficult, despite that price at 2.75 is ok. Small stakes recommended for this one.
Nigeria have scored in 10 consecutive matches in this tournament

Iran to win Draw No Bet
Tipped at: 2.80 - 4th Jun 11:39
I'm playing on this contest because I believe Iran have been underestimated, and Nigeria may be somewhat overestimated by Ladbrokes. My book has Iran as slight favourites, so draw-no-bet looks like a tempting wager. Nigeria have some talented players, but they rarely offer a great goal threat. In WC qualification the Super Eagles scored five goals in four road trips, and only had an average of 1.38 goals per game overall. Defensively they were impressive, but the defence looked sloppy in a recent friendly with Scotland. Iran were equally impressive in their Asian WC qualification, keeping shut-outs in half of their eight road matches (and six of eight home matches). They will be disciplined, determined, proud and awkward, and if Nigeria show them any sight of a soft underbelly, then Iran can emerge on top. The draw is a big runner here, and potentially offers value of its own, but I prefer the Iran draw-no-bet at 2.8

Iran to win or draw
Tipped at: 2.00 - 16th Jun 18:29
iran is a strong team and will not lose this one. they are good technical players. nigeria is one of the worst teams in this world cup and i dont think they can score easily. iran lacks scoring ability too. but a draw is not good for them if they want to qualify to the next round. a draw is not good for any of the two teams but still is apossible result. if they play loosely we can see many goals scored but whatever happens in the end i believe that iran will not lose and even they dont manage to win they can earn at least one point._

Hi everyone, During this WC2014 I will post 3 tips on every match; 1X2, Correct Score and Goalscorer. Match 12. Nigeria look certain winners but that's just because Iran is the unknown team - they have Reza Goochannejad who is a good striker, he played his football in Europe. Other than that Nigeria just have far more quality but as always with African teams they have trouble showcasing that so might just be a surprising a game tonight. None the less I expect Nigeria to win but also concede a goal. Reza grabbing it. Nigeria to beat Iran by 1-3 at odds of 22.00

Iran are not going to light up this tournament with open, free-flowing football under experienced Portuguese coach Carlos Queiroz, but they are a very compact, well-organised unit, who are capable of frustrating Nigeria, at least for part of the game. With an attack as talented as theirs, Nigeria ought to win this game (they'll certainly need to in order to have any real chance of progression from this group), however they will meet resolute resistance from a very defensive-minded Iran side, who will defend deep and offer little going forward (what little attacking thrust will be repelled by Nigeria's excellent goalkeeper Vincent Enyeama). Don't expect a goal-laden 1st half

Draw
Tipped at: 3.68 - 16th Jun 18:11
This is a game for Group G of the world Cup 2014 between the teams of Iran and Nigeria. These are the weakest teams of Group G, but after the defeat of Portugal from Germany, both teams will try to get any points in order to have any chances for the promotion to the next phase. Nigeria has a slight handicap to win the game as it is a more experience team in the world cup but Iran will fight the game as well. I expect a tight game in which the two teams will not risk as 1 point may be good for them. I propose Iran-Nigeria draw at odds of 3.68.

HIGHLIGHTED HANDICAP TOP TIP

Iran +0.50 (AH)
Tipped at: 1.77 - 4th Jun 12:22
I do not expect much from both tams here and although Nigeria have the better roster Iran will play maximaly motivated here with 110 % of their abilities and that should be enough to stay unbeaten here. Nigeria have improved under Keshi definitely but still it's very difficult to expect something from a team where there are always problems. The moral has always been problematic and that's why i think the Iran team has a chance here and the odds for + 0.5 AH look good to me here. it might be a draw but I think it's also possible that iran wins this.

The two lesser fancied nations to qualify from Group E face each other with both Iran and Nigeria knowing that World Cup round of 16 qualification will be tough with anything less than a win. Nigeria will be facing a side that is built around a solid defensive base but with few technically gifted players in attack. Iran will aim to frustrate a Nigeria side that is naturally better suited to counter-attack out of its comfort zone. Iran manager Carlos Queiroz sets up his side to defend, likely in a 4-4-1-1/4-2-3-1 shape, relying on experience and discipline (11 of the 23 members over the age of 30) to maintain its defensive shape so that it is tough to beat. Highlighting the strength of this defensive unit, Iran conceded just 7 goals in 16 qualifying matches on the road to Brazil; although the asterisk alongside this figure is the level of competition that Iran met during qualifying was usually of inferior quality to what it will meet at the World Cup. If there’s a plus in Iran’s attack, it is Fulham’s Ashkan Dejagah, will either start out wide on the left or in the hole behind striker Reza Ghoochannejhad of Charlton. Dejagah is a bit of a dual creative and goal scoring threat, with his numbers suffering due to playing for Fulham as well as injury. Aside from a drop during the 2010/11 season – averaging 0.84 shot assists per 90 (SA/90) – Dejagah’s SA/90 remained remarkably consistent, averaging between 1.50 and 1.53 SA/90 minutes, with a SA/90 of 1.53 last season. He also ended the season as Fulham’s second top scorer with five goals, as his 0.35 goals per 90 minutes led Fulham as well as set a five-season high goals per 90. Nigeria’s front three will be charged with breaking down the Iranian defence, given that the midfield is hardly creative. John Obi Mikel is usually deployed as the most attacking member of Nigeria’s midfield trio, lining up in a 4-3-3/4-5-1 shape – and he is not exactly the most create player. Better known for his defensive work at Chelsea, averaging 6.77 recoveries and 4.57 defensive pressing actions on a per 90 minute basis, Mikel scored his first Chelsea goal – ever – against Fulham last September and has averaged less than 1.0 SA/90 over the last five seasons. He’s also been credited with just three assists over the last five seasons; but then his creative numbers are hindered by role in the side. The front three is likely to see Ahmed Musa on the right and Victor Moses on the left behind Emmanuel Emenike, with Moses drifting into the middle more often as Musa is more of a winger. Emenike has had a solid season in Turkey with Fenerbahce, scoring on 12 occasions, averaging 0.52 goals per 90, and will be the goal hope; although Peter Odemwingie’s strong second half to the season could see him become a vital contributor off the bench. If either side has any chance of progressing from Group F, this game becomes a must win. Argentina are the strength of the group and will likely beat both; however a win for either Nigeria or Iran will set the victors up for a key fixture against Bosnia and Herzegovina. Nigeria are the BSports Match Analysis tool favourites at 38.2%, with a draw (33.9%) better favoured than Iran (27.9%); but it is likely to be a tight contest (with the under 2.5 goal projection at 69.7%) – so one goal could potentially decide the victor.
