BEST STEVE JOHNSON VS JAMES DUCKWORTH PREDICTION

Steve Johnson to win
Tipped at: 1.40 - 15º ago 13:34
Steve Johnson is a american player, ranked at number 48. He has a big serve but can play well from the baseline, he is very good at rallies. Johnson is also a fast player that prefers the hard courts, especially in USA. James Duckworth is a australian player, ranked at number 95. He is a talented player but really fragile mentally. He likes the hard courts, has a nice serve and loves to play in slices. SJ loves to play in the USA and I don't think he will want to waste a tournament likes this. I really expect a win here.

EARLY BIRD TOP TIP

Steve Johnson to win

Gotta back Stevie in this match today against fellow American James Duckworth. Johnson is coming off a first round loss in Canada to David Goffin, but he had a hell of tournament in D.C. and had match point against Isner in the Semi's, but he was unable to convert and Isner ended up winning. I think the hangover from the loss followed him into his match against Goffin because he didn't look like he wanted to even be there. He's back home in the U.S. today as the Cincy qualifiers begin. Johnson will get back on the winning track today against a player that is far inferior to him all over the court except the serve game. Duckworth has a big serve, but I think the movement and slice abilities from Johnson should be able to negate any upper hand on serve and Johnson should win this in straight sets. He should be well rested and ready to get back to his winning ways. Before the Goffin match, he was playing some damn good tennis in the previous months. Backing Johnson in this one today. Lock of the day match, so I'm going heavy on him. Good luck all!

Qualifying for the ATP Cincinnati (USA), Steve Johnson (ranked 43th) plays against James Duckworth (ranked 98th). I'll bet the most quoted player to move to the next phase. The American player has the obligation to win and move on to the next phase. He was playing well in Washington, even against Isner (was eliminated against him) he played well. Duckworth, is a player who serves well. This year, he has some good results in hard court, as the victory at Indian Wells against Thiem. I believe that this game is a good opportunity for Johnson move on. The factor of playing at home, can be important.
