BettingExpert tipster competition regulations
In order to ensure that the BettingExpert competitions are regular and fair with respect to all competing tipsters the following set of rules are to be complied with. Any tipster in breach of these regulations is liable to sanctions as deemed appropriate by the administration at BettingExpert. Please make sure that you abide by these rules in order to ensure that the competition is equitable and legitimate.
Terms And Conditions
1. In order to be eligible for prizes you need to open an account with the sponsoring bookmaker of the competition.
Trial tipsters will be required to register an account at Betfair AND make a first deposit. In order to do so please visit this link:

and click on any of the linking banners. You will then be required to type in your new Betfair username on your BettingExpert upload page.
Tipsters promoted to the higher division will need to open a real money account at Gamebokers AND make a first deposit. This must be done through a BettingExpert link, found via this link:

Your new Gamebookers username should then be included in the appropriate section on your own BettingExpert upload page.
2.. Whilst we do encourage tipsters and users alike to participate in debates and discussions we would like to see that these revolve around sports-related topics and betting, which is what BettingExpert is all about.
In addition, anyone posting his comments on the website is expected to make use of polite language and appropriate terms such that respect of other persons' opinions is maintained at all times. This is also valid for tipsters who upload their analyses at BettingExpert. However, this does not mean that people are not allowed to post criticism towards BettingExpert or other tipsters. Do so, if necessary, but be tactful in your approach.
3. Any tipster is allowed only one account at BettingExpert.
4. Once promoted to the Free Tipster division you will be able to submit your soccer picks at www.bethelp.com.

You will find more details on how to go about this in the "Info & Rules" area in your BettingExpert upload page. This is no longer a prerequisite, however, using Bethelp is a great way for you to promote your picks and get more recognition plus at the same time improve your chances at winning the BettingExpert Most Hits competition with a monthly total of €155 in prizes.
Technical Rules
- Tipsters are required to post a minimum of eight picks every month in order to qualify for prizes.
- You are allowed to post picks exclusively for BettingExpert. Tipsters posting the same picks and analyses on other websites will be disqualified in the competition, even if these websites are owned by themselves.
- Copying other people's work and posting it at BettingExpert trying to pass it as one's own, posting fake odds or trying, in any other way, to gain unfair advantage over the other tipsters will result in sanctions as deemed appropriate by the BettingExpert administration.
- Picks need to contain enough detail for users to be able to make an informed choice about the bet being proposed by tipsters. There should be reporting of facts and inclusion of detail that is relevant. Four-sentence picks or any such rushed writing will not count and will be removed by the BettingExpert administration.
Unless picks contain a minimum of 100 words they will be filtered out by the system. It is therefore important that all tips uploaded contain that minimum amount of words and that these make up a coherent and detailed enough piece of betting advice.
Choosing to upload picks without any argumentation with the intention to add that later on will not be accepted under any circumstance.
The analysis should be written in a well articulated language, and one is not allowed to use translation tools to translate whole paragraphs.
- The maximum stake of 10 units is reserved for picks in which tipsters motivate their selection and confidence with reliable and detailed information. As such, the use of the maximum 10-unit stake is to be limited to not more than 1 out of every 10 picks posted.
- The maximum stake which you are allowed on any event is 10 units. This means that if you decide to post 8 units on a home victory for any particular event or match you are then allowed only a 2 unit bet on a different market on that same event. This would take the total to 10 units. Exceeding this maximum stake is against BettingExpert rules.
- The table below should be used as a reference with regards to what stake is allowed at particular odds ranges. The idea behind this regulation is to avoid lucky strikes translating into winners. We would much rather prefer rewarding consistency in profit.
| Odds ? 2,5: | max. stake of 10 units |
| 2,5 < Odds ? 3: | max. stake of 8 units |
| 3 < Odds ? 5: | max. stake of 6 units |
| 5 < Odds ? 10: | max. stake of 3 units |
| 10 < Odds: | max. stake of 2 units |
- Once a pick is uploaded and its bookmaker of reference thus chosen this cannot be modified and neither can the stake or odds chosen in the first place, unless a mistake is very evident. You cannot yourself do this but will need to have it corrected by us, if we deem it is an appropriate choice. What is written in the tip one line statement will always stand.
- Bets are referred back to the bookmaker of reference, that is the one chosen when the pick was first submitted, when it comes to settling bets that may require voiding. If the rules set by that bookmaker do not allow bet voiding when, for example, a tennis player retires then bets are not voided at BettingExpert. The idea behind this is that any users who would have followed your advice and chosen that bookmaker indicated by yourself would not themselves have had their stake returned so neither would you as a tipster.
- Time limits are set on the posting of picks in order to allow users to read through betting argumentations and make their own informed decision about whether to take the tipsters' advice or not. Picks are therefore required to be uploaded at least three hours before the event is scheduled to start. Changing the starting time in order to have your pick uploaded is not allowed and will result in the pick being removed.
Bets on individual games are not allowed to be posted two weeks before it starts. Although early odds are generally higher many different factors may change as the match approaches so it is safer to give such a time limit on bets on any one match.
As for ante-post bets, however, the limit is extended to three months. This refers to bets that are actually classified as ante-post or long term bets at bookmakers. An example might be a bet on the winner of a football league. The event in question may not have started yet but it must come to an end before the three months have lapsed.
- Posting the correct long-term date for your pick. This is where commonly mistakes are performed so please read the following carefully in order to prevent further misunderstandings.
The principle to keep in mind in this respect is that odds change. If you are talking about Team A winning the competition, assuming that they will reach the final even before the tournament has started, you have to understand that odds posted now are bound to change significantly depending on the performance of Team A from the start of the tournament until the final.
Key players may get injured, solid competitors may get eliminated as the competition progresses or Team A themselves may get eliminated before making it to the final. Posting your pick for ‘Team A to Win the Competition’ showing the date of the final itself will risk becoming misleading information since the pick will still be appearing on BettingExpert even though they may be playing no part in the competition anymore or else odds on them have been slashed.
BettingExpert rules therefore impose that you post your pick showing the date of the next performance of Team A in that competition. After their performance, depending on how they did bookmakers will change their odds. We do not want old misleading odds to keep being available visitors for weeks after they have changed.
Some may argue that odds change constantly but they do not generally change significantly in the short term. They do change, however, at times even drastically in long-term bets after the team you chose or others involved in the competition performed. That is why bookmakers suspend odds on outright bets when any of the teams involved is performing. Once the event is over new odds are uploaded, changed from they had originally been.
Therefore, when posting any sort of long term bet – besides keeping to our two-week rule and three-month rule for ante-post bets – upload the date of the next game which your chosen team or player will be involved in and NOT the date of the final of the tournament in which your chosen team or player are involved.
- We generally allow any kind of bet to be posted at BettingExpert as long as it contains value. However, we do set limits when it comes to particular bet types that promise high returns but that are generally not profitable in the long run.
Correct score picks may be a good choice at times but this is not always so. Betting on the correct scorer may be another tricky market. Therefore we do not accept that such bets be uploaded. As a rule of thumb try keeping away from odds which are very high. We will evaluate whether a bet is valid and proceed accordingly.
When posting bets for which we provide no choice in our menu, as in "both teams to score" you should indicate this at the top of the post on the very first line of the pick and separated from the rest of the writing by one line. You should also make use of capital letter wording.
For example:
BOTH TEAMS TO SCORE
The home team was weakened by the injury setback to their star forward. He has been confirmed as out of contention for the next four weeks…
- Tipsters are expected to correct their own picks by simply inserting the correct result of the match [such as might be a 1-1 score] by visiting the "Update Picks" section in the personal BettingExpert upload page.
No other data is required to be input. Profits are calculated automatically by the system itself so please refrain from meddling with the totals presented to you. Contact us in case of difficulty.
When BettingExpert administrators seek to correct mistakes in picks due to breach of rules listed here they will seek to remove any tips that resulted in profit for the tipster concerned. Picks that eventually lead to loss will be allowed to stay as they would have resulted from the tipsters' own lack of compliance with said rules.
Any issues and doubts for which there are no clear guidelines in the regulations as set out in the above terms and conditions will be dealt with as BettingExpert administration deems fit, at its own discretion.
We hope all tipsters find these conditions fair and suitable. Should you have any questions, please don't hesitate to contact us on help[at]bettingexpert.com.
