Stage 1: Liege to Sareing

After the sprint in the city of Liege, the real cycling starts with Stage 1 from Liege to Seraing. On Sunday 1st July, the teams will be starting from Liege and pass through Cote de Cokaifagne, Cote de Francorchamps, Cote de Lierneux, Cote de Barvaux and finish at Cote de Seraing. There will be a bit of climbing and there will be hill passing. All and above pure sprinters will not be preferred for this kind of challenge but surely a good start to the month long cycling action.

certain cyclist, here are the places where Stage 1 can be won.
Cote de
Cokaifagne – A drive for 42km before hitting a 2.9 km climb.
Cote de
Francorchamps – After 49 km of the race, an uphill of 1.1km on the steeps of
Stage 1.
Cote de
Lierneux – 94km into the race, another climb of 2.1 km.
Cote de
Barvaux – 139 km into the race, second shortest climb of Stage 1 for 1.6km.
Cote de
Seraing – finishing after 198km, the race will be determine with a 2.4km uphill
steep finish.
