Betting odds for BMC Racing riders (Outright Winner):
Cadel Evans
Winning the Tour’s title has been a long wait for Cadel Evans. Coming very close in 2007 and 2008, it has never materialized until last year when he won Tour de France at the age of 34. Leading to this year’s most prestigious cycling even from Liege to Champs-Elysees, Cadel's in good form and has shown his potential to retain the title. His recent third-place finished in Dauphine plus the backing of his team mate to defend his title and protect him throughout the race has given him a boost of confidence to win back-to-back.
With Andy Schleck of RadioShack and Alberto Contador out of the picture, Cadel’s main and biggest rival this year is the bookies favourite Bradley Wiggins of Team Sky.
Steve Cummings
Recovered from a broken pelvis in Algrave early this year and then a broken wrist in California last month, Steve Cummings will make his first Tour debut for Team BMC. before being selected to take part in the group to provide support to Evans, the British cyclist made his comeback for Tour of Switzerland in which he finished 15th .
Philip Gilbert
Like Steve Cummings, is a new arrival in the group and will make his first Tour debut for BMC. With the race starting in Liege, Belgium, he will aim for stages win. Especially during the opening race, imitate the same result that he at last year’s stage 1.
George Hincapi
Bringing his total of tour starts to a record breaking 17, George Hincapie will turn 39-year-old the day the Tour starts in Liege. The American Olympian has supported and helped Lance Armstrong, Alberto Contador and Cadel Evans who won the Tour last year. Helping Evans to retain his title will be his last major event. On the 99th year of Tour de France’s finishing line, George Hindicapie will retire from professional cycling.
Amaël Moinard and Tejay van Garderen will support in high mountains while Marcus Burghardt, Manuel Quinziato and Michael Schär will support Cadel Evans the same way as they did last year.
