Team Omega Pharma - Quick Step
The Belgian team Omega Pharma –Quick who is currently 4th in the UCI ranking has a very successful season. The team will not have their best successful Tom Boonen during the 2012 Tour de France as he opt out in favour of preparing for the 2012 Olympics in London instead. In his absence, the team have Tony Martin and Levi Leipheimer along with Bert Grabsch, Sylvain Chavanel, Peter Velits, Kevin De Weert, Dries Devenyns, Jerome Pineau and Stijn Vandenbergh in pursuing the title.

Sylvain Chavanel of France and Dries Devenyns of Belgium will be the key men in the individual stages due to their natural sprinting ability to attack. While Tony Martin who won the German National Championship’s Elite Time Trial and American Levi Leipheimer came third at the recent Tour de Suisse will be the key man to bring their skills for the time trials in the tour, where Mark Cavandish of Team Sky is the clear favourite to win.
