Team Sky’s vision is to win the Tour de France within five years. Created in 2009, it took a year before the team competed. Bradley Wiggins will once again lead the team on its third year participation on the Tour.

Bradley Wiggins
Has all what it takes to lead the Team Sky into their third year attempt to win the Tour de France. A thoroughbred Olympians, Wiggins won two gold medals at the Summer Olympics in Beijing. Specialized in pursuit discipline on the track, Wiggo is seen as a time-trial specialist and a General Classification contender. The 32-year-old Bradley Wiggins is the bookmakers favourite to take the crown from Cadel Evans (BMC) and win the the yellow jersey on the 99th Tour de France.
Mark Cavendish
The world Champion cyclist is in pursuit to defend his green jacket that he won last year’s TOUR 2012. Manx Missile is the sprinter in the squad and is the first rider to win the final stage in three consecutive years and the first British to win the green jacket. The green jersey defending champion added five stage wins last year to his belt. Overall, the 27-year-old Manxman has won 20 stages in his last four Tour de France. Mark Cavendish is bookmakers’ favourite to win 2012 Tour de France’s green jersery.
Edvald Boasson Hagen
An all rounder rider, Edvald Boasson will support team mate Mark Cavendish during sprint days as the main lead out man. Before heading to compete in the Tour de France, All rounder rider Edvald Boasson just recently won the stage three of the Criterium du Dauphine in France early this month which helped team leader Bradley Wiggins kept his overall lead to win the race. Aside from being the main lead out man for Mark Cavendish, he will once again expect to play major role in setting the tone during the biggest climbs in the TOUR.
Bernie Eisel
As ever, his role in the team is to be Mark Cavendish personal bodyguard to guide Manxman over the the mountains, as well as, making sure that they meet the time cut in the stages of Tour de France.
Michael Rogers
Is the road captain for Team Sky and a main lead out man, playing the role of super-domestique for team leader Bradley Wiggins.
Christian Knees
will play a key role in front of the peloton and will support both Bradley Wiggins and Mark Cavendish.
Chris Froome a runner-up at the 2011 Vuelta Espana, Richie Porte and Kanstanstin Siutsou will be supporting Wiggins in their quest to win the General Classification.
