Ring around the Rosy: Garry Ringrose at Centre
As the Six Nations currently stands, our research shows that Garry Ringrose is the better choice at centre than Owen Farrell. Although Farrell is widely expected to start in Gatland’s midfield, he has not fared as well as the 22-year-old Ringrose who has truly excelled in this year’s tournament.
Ireland Dominates the Squad
Of the total XV, Ireland makes up just shy of half the squad with 7 players. Their overall performance is helping key players outshine their counterparts from other Lions nations. One notable example is the inclusion of flanker CJ Stander. Stander, whose presentation in the tournament includes 84 carries in the first four games, out matches Sam Warburton (the 2013 Lions captain).
Lions are Scot-Free
Although they have been playing well in the tournament this year, the overall stats are pointing to all other nations than Scotland making the squad. However, there is still time left in the tournament to shine and bring the Scots off the bench.
