Euros Qualifying Best Bets Best Bets: 20th, June, 2023

It’s the final game for most of Europe’s top players after a gruelling season. Can the likes of Erling Haaland, Edin Dzeko and co oversee a final three points when it really matters? Let’s hope so.

In this article:

Liechtenstein vs Slovakia Preview

Europe, Euros Qualifying, Tuesday, June 20th, 19:45 (UK)

I’m a proud member of backing anything pro-Liechtenstein’s opponents and have been for a long while. Today is no different.

After losing 4-0 to Portugal (no idea how it was only four) and 0-7 to Iceland, I suppose Tuesday’s home side can be relatively happy with the 2-0 away loss in Luxembourg.
Next, they take on the Slovaks. Slovakia are unbeaten in three qualifying games boasting seven points. A 0-0 draw against Luxembourg acted as their opening foray into qualifying before casting Bosnia (2-0) and Iceland (1-2) aside, scoring two goals in each win.

Liechtenstein vs Slovakia Best Bet

Considering Liechtenstein have scored three times in two years, the Win To Nil shout is certainly a runner. Those goals came against Faroe Islands (5-1), Armenia (1-1), and Andorra (2-1). They were dominated in all three matches as per but managed to keep it semi-respectable.

Double that with Slovakia having enough to score in both halves and the 2.10 price available seems a little generous considering the opposition. Iceland managed two goals in the first half and five in the second. Portugal weren’t as clinical; one in the opening 45 and three after the break for them.

  • Selection: Slovakia Win To Nil and Slovakia to Score in Both Halves
  • Best Odds: 2.10 (bet365)
  • Stakes: 10/10

Norway vs Cyprus Preview

Europe, Euros Qualifying, Tuesday, June 20th, 19:45 (UK)

Norway are still without a win in Group A of Euros qualifying. Despite taking a 61st minute lead against Scotland through Erling Haaland’s effort from the spot, the Scots left Norway with all three points.

Erling Haaland’s 84th minute sub may have indicated the coach’s plans to shut up shop and ensure the win. However, Lyndon Dykes and Kenny Maclean’s efforts on the 87th and 89th minute, respectively, rubbished any hope of Norway claiming the spoils.

If Haaland, Odegaard and company are to get anything out of this qualifying campaign, they have to beat the likes of Cyprus and do so convincingly.

Norway vs Cyprus Best Bet

I’d expect Group A’s minnows to be under the cosh from minute one here with Norway keen to prove a point. The Cypriots have lost both matches in the group so far – a disappointing 1-2 loss at home to Georgia and 3-0 away in Scotland.
With the first half Asian Handicap, we’ll get our stakes returned in the event Norway post a one-goal advantage at half-time. Anything more than that and we’re paid out at an odds-against price.

Admittedly, it’s not my favourite pick of the round, but the Norweigans have the players to turn it on and make amends. Nevertheless, that’s not something they’re accustomed to doing so often.

  • Selection: Norway -1 First Half Asian Handicap
  • Best Odds: 2.10 (bet365)
  • Stakes: 2/10

Bosnia vs Luxembourg Preview

Europe, Euros Qualifying, Tuesday, June 20th, 19:45 (UK)

Similarly to the Norway punt above, these are the games Bosnia have to be targeting. Beat your Luxembourgs, present as a tough away day, and you may be able to sneak something.

Well, they may have proved the second part of that with a 3-0 home win over Iceland during the opening match of qualifying. With Luxembourg travelling to Bosnia next up, I imagine they’ll do enough to overcome that visiting test.

Bosnia vs Luxembourg Best Bet

I don’t necessarily think it’ll be easy, but Bosnia will be hugely disappointed if they cannot muster a winning display against this level of opposition.

These two nations played out a 1-0 home win in Bosnia in an international friendly in 2022. Although fairly even in the possession stakes, Luxembourg managed just one shot on target from four attempts. More of the same and we could end up profiting here.

  • Selection: Bosnia Win & Under 4.5 Goals
  • Best Odds: 1.80 (bet365)
  • Stakes: 2/10

Odds via bet365 as at 09:00, June 19th, 2023. Odds may now differ.
