Cheltenham Festival Ticket Competition Rules

Who we are

The organizer of this Cheltenham Festival Ticket Competition (,,Competition’’) is the owner of the website (‘’Website’’):

Entrants must be over 18 or older – proof of age may be required at our discretion.
The competition is open only to residents of the UK and Republic of Ireland.
Only one entry permitted per person.
Employees and freelancers hired by Better Collective, directly or through intermediary companies, are not allowed to participate in the Competition.
By entering, you accept these terms and conditions and give permission for us to disclose your Twitter handle and profile on Twitter and our website if you win the prize.

Start and Closing Date

Competition starts at 11am on Tuesday 3rd March 2020.
Competition 1 ends at 5pm on Friday 6th March 2020.

Competition 2 ends at 5pm on Monday 9th March 2020.

No entries after this point will be considered.

How to participate

Participating in the Competition is completely free of charge.
To enter, simply retweet and like the specified tweets made by the @bettingexpert account.
You must follow @bettingexpert to be eligible to win.

Determining the winner

The winner will be selected at random from all eligible participants who have correctly entered the prize draw in accordance with entry instructions between the Start Date and the Closing Date and notified on Twitter after 9pm via a tweet (and a Direct Message if possible).
There will be two prize draws. The winner of the first prize draw will be selected at 12pm on Friday 6th March 2020 and the winner of the second prize draw will be selected at 12pm Monday 9th March 2020.
The winners will have 3 hours to respond, otherwise the winner will be redrawn.
The replacement winner will have 3 hours to respond before being replaced. New winners will be drawn until a winner responds as required.


Two pairs of tickets to the Club enclosure at Cheltenham Festival. One pair for Tuesday 14th March, one pair for Friday, 16th March 2020.
Tickets will be sent via Special Delivery. A postal address will be required to receive the prize.
The tickets do not include provision for travel, food, drinks, accommodation and anything other than entry to Cheltenham Festival.

Keep in mind that under 18s must be accompanied by an adult at all times to enter the venue and attend the race.
No alternative prize – either cash or replacement tickets – is available.

Personal data

For the purpose of your successful participation in the competition, we have to process your Twitter username and info about retweeting/liking. This processing is necessary to distinguish you from other competitors and to check whether you have fulfilled the conditions for participation in the competition.
In case that you would be drawn as the winner of this competition, we will have to ask you for your name and surname, residential address and the copy of ID.
Namely, the participants have to satisfy the threshold age requirements imposed by relevant national legislation (to be 18+ years old). Therefore, we have to check how old you are in order to be sure that a prize will be handled to a person that satisfies criteria for the threshold age. For that purpose we will have to ask you for the copy of your ID.
Your name, surname and residential address will be necessary to be processed in order to send you the prize.
Please, be aware that we have to announce who are the winners of the competition pursuant transparency obligation regulated by relevant national legislations. We will post info about the winner by Tweet. Therefore, in case we draw you as a winner we will ask you for your permission for posting. In case of your objection to posting, we will have to suspend you as a winner, to repeat the drawing, and to draw another winner.

Breach of Rules

Any attempt to exploit the Competition rules is forbidden and will result in disqualification from the Competition.
Sanctions include disqualification from competition, temporary bans for participation and in certain circumstances permanent blocking from accessing the Competition on the twitter page @bettingexpert.
The extent of a sanction is determined by the severity of the offence and if the participant is a repeat offender. Cases are judged on individual merit and decisions made by are final and should be respected.

Request for clarification/complaints

Any issues or doubts which have no clear guidelines in the above rules will be dealt with at the discretion of the administration.
If you wish to request clarification/contest some of our decisions you can do so by sending an email at [email protected] or by posting a question on a twitter page @bettingexpert. Our decision is final and binding in all respects.
The terms and conditions on the tickets and on the Jockey Club/Cheltenham Festival tickets will apply and take precedence over anything else stated.

Any legal disputes that may arise are subject to Law ot the United Kingdom and will be settled by the competent courts of England and Wales.

We reserve the right to make changes to the rules of the competition at our sole discretion, and will notify users of any significant changes by making a post on the page.
