Football Transfer Window 2015

While expectations are not quite what we saw last season, there are still a few big name stars that could make the move and drive the football transfer spending up over the next few months, especially when you consider the likes of Real Madrid and Barcelona introduce a marquee signing most seasons.

In the managerial corner, a host of Premier League clubs are offering odds on new managers. The big question is who will the new man at Real Madrid be following the sacking of Carlo Ancelotti? Former Borussia Dortmund manager Jurgen Klopp is also in the spotlight alongside outgoing Napoli manager Rafa Benitez.

Most the action will of course surround the players, with all the attention on who will be Real Madrid and Barcelona's marquee signings? Will Di Maria remain in Manchester? Will Aguero leave Manchester? Can Arsene Wenger finally splash out and land Arturo Vidal, Sami Khedira and other long-term targets? And finally will Bastian Schweinsteiger make his much anticipated Premier League move?

Over the next few months all will be revealed and bettingexpert will keep you updated with all you need to know about the biggest football transfer news, speculation and all the best transfer betting odds.

Football Transfer Window 2014

The 2014 football transfer window smashed all records in terms of money spent, with Premier League clubs forking out an incredible £835 million on new players, almost double what all La Liga clubs in Spain spent during the same period.

It was also more than £200 million more than the £630 million spent by Premier League clubs during the 2013 window, the spending powered by the huge domestic Premier League TV deal.

Manchester United under the guidance of new manager Louis Van Gaal, led the way with a club record £150 million, Angel di Maria the main outlay at £59.7 million when he made the switch to Old Trafford from Real Madrid.

The Premier League spending was substantially more than the other top European leagues. Spain's La Liga was next on the list with £425 million, James Rodriguez arriving at Real Madrid and Luis Suarez leaving Liverpool for Barcelona accounting for more than £150 of that expenditure. In Italy's Serie A, £260 million exchanged hands, with the German Bundesliga and the French League 1 spending at £250 and £100 million respectively.
