Bookmakers are giving their punters greater control in choosing which bets they want to place. There are now a number of online bookies who allow their customers to create and design their own bets. This gives the opportunity to request odds for their unique wager.
The William Hill version is William Hill YourOdds. This William Hill request a bet allows customers to combine a range of markets to make one single bet. Then, punters send their bets via Twitter to @WilliamHill. Use the hashtag #YourOdds. If accepted, the bookie will reply with a price and a link through which you can place your bet.
There are generally a number of William Hill #YourOdds markets listed on the website. It’s worth taking a look through these to see if any are appealing. If none stand out to you, tweet your own bet. We’ll take a look at how to do this in more detail shortly.
There are also occasional opportunities to use William Hill YourOdds in conjunction with promotions. Generally you won’t be able to combine the two unless stated otherwise.
In addition to William Hill YourOdds, you can also use their Multi Match feature. This is available on selected televised sporting events. Your unique bet can combine markets on different matches.
How does the William Hill request a bet work? Let’s take a closer look.
William Hill YourOdds Detailed Example
William Hill #YourOdds and Multi Match work slightly differently. We’ll take a look at both of these options separately.
First up, William Hill YourOdds. For this example, we’re going to use the UEFA Nations League Group A match between Portugal and Poland.
Now, we checked out the #YourOdds tab and found a bet we liked. This was our bet:
Portugal To Win, Andre Silva And Robert Lewandowski Both To Score - 10/1
Fancy it? Just click on the odds as you would when betting online and enter your stake.
If, however, you want to tweak this bet, you can. We want to place a bet with the following markets:
- Portugal To Win
- Bernardo Silva To Score
- Over 11.5 Corners
- Over 4.5 Cards
Send this to @WilliamHill using the hashtag #YourOdds. It’s important to do this well in advance of the game kicking off. This is in order to give the traders time to price up your bet.
If accepted, you’ll get a reply with a link to your wager on site. Follow the link and place your bet in the usual way.
Now to Multi Match. Like William Hill #YourOdds, you can request your own bet on any combination of matches. Note though, that for Championship, League One, League Two and Scottish Premiership matches that are not televised, you won’t be able to use Multi Match.
So, for your William Hill request a bet wager, you can take a look at what’s already listed on site. We found a number of bets combining our Portugal v Poland game with Scotland against Israel. Two of these were:
Scotland and Portugal To Win And Steven Fletcher And Andre Silva Both To Score
Each Of The Four Teams At Least One Corner In Each Half
We found these bets via the #YourOdds/Specials tab located under Football. Like with typical William Hill #YourOdds, you can combine your own matches if you so wish. Make sure you tweet your William Hill request a bet within plenty of time of the first game kicking off.
As with all bookmaker offers, William Hill YourOdds bets come with terms and conditions. Make sure you read and understand these before you place your bet. For example, if any of the legs in your William Hill #YourOdds bet loses, your whole bet will lose. Say you bet on a First Goalscorer as part of your bet. If that player fails to take part and a goal is scored in the game, your bet will be void.
Many bookmakers only offer customer request opportunities on football. At William Hill, there are a number of sports you can bet on with YourOdds.
Click on the #YourOdds tab and a list of that week’s eligible events will be listed. Football does dominate this list. You can also use YourOdds and Multi Match on NBA, NFL and Eurobasket action. You can also bet on cricket, darts and rugby.
Remember to use the #YourOdds hashtag when sending your request to @WilliamHill. This is the only way your bet will be considered.
Those of you familiar with William Hill already will know that there is a good range of football markets generally available. This applies even on games taking place in lesser-known leagues. With William Hill #YourOdds, you can request a price for a combination of any market you like. It doesn't matter if it’s listed on site or otherwise. The most popular football markets include:
- First Goalscorer
- Correct Score
- Match Winner
Create your own bet. Remember, though, that there is no guarantee your bet will be accepted and priced up. This is particularly true if you bet on extremes where the odds are incredibly long. Maximum stakes and odds limits can apply.
Your William Hill YourOdds opportunities are currently only available pre-match. However, you may have the opportunity to place bets on existing #YourOdds markets even when the game has started.
To do this is simple. Once the game has kicked off, click on the In-Play tab and find the match you want to bet on. Hit the #YourOdds button and see what’s available.
The William Hill #YourOdds offer is attractive, though its t’s and c’s seem slightly more complicated than those of their competitors. This is especially when it comes to Multi Match betting. However, William Hill do try to accommodate your request no matter how unconventional your bet.
