Melzer was Quarter Finalist in Beijing where he lost to Nadal, so he enjoys Olympics. He has also won against Murray brothers in doubles here after losing opening set, so quite an achievement. He will be up against Cilic who looks in solid form. He has lost only against Murray and Haas recently. Melzer during last Wimbledon was playing two dramatic matches – both 5 setters, in the first round won against Wawrinka in next one, lost to Lacko. I do think he will be up for challenge here as his health problems seems to be past. Both can serve really well, so I think this can result in quite long, tight match. Cilic leads h2h 5-1, but only 2 matches were very easy for him, first one and the last one. I think that again it will be more close one.
