Odds of 1.55 for Barcelona to win are incredibly decent value considering Barcelonas current form and AC Milans form.
Watching AC Milan against Cagliari today (11th feb), I have to say that AC Milan looked really weak. Unable to really penetrate effectively, even Balloteli looked somewhat quiet. They lacked coordination, speed, creativity and general team work. They drew against Cagliari which is something to be ashamed of. Nevertheless, the head coach was obviously trying to rest some more important players for the game against Barcelona. AC Milan currently in fourth place in the italian tables. Nevertheless, Milan have won 4 of their last 5 matches and are climbing Serie A but will that good run transcend into the Champions League against one of the best teams in the world?
Bookies strongly lean towards a Barcelona win as odds for Milan winning are going up to 7.30 and averages around 6.50.
Barcelona have come off a 6-1 win over Getafe and before that, a draw with Valencia.
In these two teams last meeting together, Barcelona beat AC Milan 3-1. After having two penalties in that match, Messi scoring both, Barcelona managed to win it 3-1. Even though it was a tight matchhup at the time, I don't have much confidence in this A.C Milan side.
In Barcelonas last 5 games, they have won 3, draw 1, lost 1.
KEY FACT: Milan have not won any of their last seven meetings with Barcelona
Puyol and Iniesta were both given a rest at the weekend and should go back into the starting lineup at San Siro.
Daniele Bonera for Milan is out, Nigel Den Jong also, Luca Antonini too.
This is the champions league and anything can happen although from the looks of it right now, I think Barcelona are in a lot better shape than Milan. Yes, Milan will obviously play their best football within this champions league game however, seeing as Messi is in good form and overall, Barcelona has done very well..I don't see anything but a strong win here for Barcelona. We must not forget that Chelsea stole Barcelonas chances last year which was a huge shock for many. I'm sure they are extremely eager to get things right this time and would aspire to beat AC Milan in a ruthless fashion.
Consider Barcelona in this matchup.
