Napoli lost 3-0 to Plzen at home in the Europa League with what looked like a strong team on the pitch and everyone is wondering what happened. The media are saying Napoli just didn't want to be involved in the Europa League. However why send out a strong team, why not just rest your key players. This will have had an effect on the squad, mentally and physically.
Napoli may have underestimated the Sampdoria team that travels to Naples on Sunday. And to see them at almost 9/1 is very strange especially the form they are in. They went to Juventus and shocked the world. Why can't they do the same in naples. They beat Roma 3-1 comfortably last round.
With Napoli recovering from a tough encounter Thursday Sampdoria may be able to take advantage of tired legs and the handicap is great value. I think Sampdoria can get at least a draw here and the odds are incredible.
Sampdoria's leading goalscorer Mauro Icardi is in great form scoring twice against Juventus and 4 times against Pescara.

Given last night's slip up from Juventus this is a golden opportunity for Napoli to go to -2 from the leaders. I don't think they can throw away this opportunity. Samp will erect their wall, as they usually though on the road, but I have seen them play awfully away from home even under Delio Rossi. Defeat against Siena and a close call against Torino in their last two trips.
