There are five scheduled meetings in Britain and Ireland on Friday, with jumping fans in for a busy afternoon. They have Ayr, Exeter and Leicester to study on very testing ground, with some decent handicaps to try to solve at the Devon venue (and Paul Nicholls sure to be well represented). AW fans have decent grade action to study at Dundalk and Newcastle, with the lights coming on at 5.30pm and the handicaps looking very hard to solve for punters.

Zambezi Fox
Exeter 3.10 (UK time)
Bernard Llewellyn has maintained an excellent strike rate over the last few months (with numerous runners improved for joining the yard), and his consistent hold-up chaser is expected to relish the testing conditions certain at Exeter on Friday. He ran really well when second to the well backed Bubble Dubi last time out at Chepstow over hurdles, deserving extra credit having conceded first run on the winner, and is far more reliable than these rivals back over fences.
Odds: 4.0
Moorefields
Exeter 2.10 (UK time)
Chris Down’s unexposed novice has already shown he relishes heavy ground at Exeter when winning a 16-runner maiden hurdle here on New Years Day, and he has been allotted a generous looking handicap mark ahead of his debut in this sphere. He found Taunton too sharp when a remote third behind a very smart pair last time out, and remains open to plenty more improvement after just three runs over hurdles so far.
Odds: 5.0
