Sir Mark Prescott has enjoyed a terrific couple of months with a succession of well backed winners (six in the last fortnight at a 43pc strike rate), and his progressive filly is fancied to make a winning start in handicaps at Newbury on Friday. She impressed when routing some modest rivals on the all-weather at Kempton in July, and had shaped with plenty of promise on the turf previously at a time when the yard was still quiet.

Owen Burrows 4-y-o has run with promise in all three handicaps since undergoing a gelding operation in the winter, and might just have been building up to full fitness. The drop back to seven furlongs on fast summer ground could be his optimum under a positive ride (weakened late up the Sandown hill over a mile last time), and he remains open to improvement after just four career starts on the turf.
