Today’s Horse Racing Tips – July 12th
There are six scheduled meetings in Britain and Ireland on Friday, with flat fans in for a busy afternoon and evening of varied action. They have Ascot, Chepstow , Chester, Newmarket and York and to study, with some tough Group action to try to solve at HQ on fast summer ground (as the high quality July meeting continues ). Jumping fans have big fields to study at Kilbeggan, with a tough evening card getting underway at 7.55pm.

Today’s Daily Nap
Fairbanks
Newmarket 3.00 (UK time)
Andrew Balding continues in excellent form with 10 winners in the last fortnight, and his progressive handicapper posted a creditable effort in a hot Royal Ascot contest last time out (handy on a strong pace up the inside/faded a furlong out). He remains with scope to improve after 8 runs so far on the turf, and the booking of the top class Oisin Murphy certainly increases confidence as he steps up in trip to 1m6f for the first time.
Odds: 8.00
Today’s Value Angle
Rebaatt
Newmarket 1.50 (UK time)
William Haggas’s handicapper has improved dramatically since undergoing a gelding operation in the winter, and he impressed when landing hefty market confidence last time out (confidently ridden from last to first). A new mark in this better race clearly demands more, but he is open to plenty more as his stamina is further drawn out and James Doyle will be looking to pounce late.
Odds: 5.00
