There are six fixtures in Britain and Ireland on Friday, with the start of the Future Champions two day meeting at Newmarket very much the highlight. There are four Group races on an ultra competitive card, with the Group 1 Fillies Mile at 3.35pm sure to attract some top class entries from the big local cards. For jumping fans, the Chepstow meeting traditionally signals the start of the “jumps season proper” and the recent easing of the ground has certainly helped with the quality of the entries. There are also supporting cards at Downpatrick (NH), Dundalk, Newcastle and York that are sure to keep punters and bookmakers busy throughout the afternoon and evening.
