There are five meetings in Britain and Ireland on Friday, with NH fans in for a busy afternoon. They have Exeter, Sandown and Sedgefield to get stuck into on eased decent ground, with some decent handicaps to solve at the Esher venue in particular alongside a few potential star novices from the top southern yards. AW fans have low grade action under the lights to study, with Dundalk and Newcastle staging their regular Friday twilight/evening cards.

Dan Skelton’s young chaser has been pitched in pretty deep on both runs so far over fences (no match for the useful Iceo on his seasonal reappearance), and remains open to improvement now with his excellent yard is finally hitting top form. He won twice over hurdles last season at a fair level, handling testing ground well when landing a Warwick handicap in May, and this two mile trip in the mud should suit ideally under regular rider Harry Skelton.

Emma Lavelle’s progressive mare has won 3 from 9 over fences so far, and posted a career best effort when just denied by Make me a Believer at Exeter last time out (front three pulling clear of the rest on good ground). She won in heavy conditions at Lingfield over hurdles back in 2022 so the recent rain should not be any inconvenience, and the stiff Sandown hill should certainly bring her proven stamina into play under regular rider James Best.
