Monday's Horse Racing Tips: Carlisle, June 10th

Today’s Horse Racing Tips – June 10th
There are five race meetings in Britain and Ireland on Monday, with flat fans in for a varied and busy afternoon and evening. They have Carlisle, Lingfield (AW), Pontefract and Windsor to study, with some tough handicaps to try to solve at the Yorkshire venue (and the red hot Richard Fahey yard sure to be well represented in the novice and handicap contests). Jumping fans have a competitive Roscommon fixture to study in the evening, with the card getting underway at 5.18pm.

Kevin Ryan’s sprinter went into the notebook when finishing third at Ayr last month, awkward leaving the stalls and soon in a poor position but running on really strongly inside the final furlong. He should relish this stiff six furlongs on drying ground at Carlisle on Monday, and can swoop late under Tony Eaves if finding the gaps in the closing stages up the hill.
Odds: 5.50

Ed Bethell is very much a young trainer to follow over the next few seasons, and his unexposed handicapper has run two cracking races in defeat this summer at Haydock and Pontefract. He remains with plenty of scope to keep on improving after just two career starts on the turf, and the increased emphasis on stamina (stepping up in trip to 1m3f) should be ideal with Callum Rodriguez taking over in the saddle.
Odds: 3.75
