There are three scheduled meetings in Britain and Ireland on Monday, with NH fans in for an informative afternoon. They have Exeter and Huntingdon to study on drying spring ground, with some decent handicaps to try to solve at the Devon venue (and Paul Nicholls sure to be well represented in the novice contests). AW fans have low grade action to study at Newcastle in the evening, with the lights coming on at 5.00pm and the handicaps looking especially hard to solve for the time of year.

Bampton Star
Exeter 4.20 (UK time)
Jeremy Scott continues on a roll fresh from his first Festival winner (4w/9r in the last fortnight), and his progressive and scopey 7-y-o is fancied to maintain his unbeaten record over fences. He showed a liking for this course and distance when narrowly making a winning chasing debut last month, and there is plenty more to come as his jumping slickens with racing experience.
Odds: 3.5
Mahland
Exeter 3.20 (UK time)
Mel Rowley has her team in excellent form at the moment, and her unexposed handicapper should relish the step back in trip at Exeter on Monday. He remains open to improvement over hurdles after just three runs over hurdles (fair level in frame at Ludlow last time), and this opening handicap mark looks extremely lenient.
Odds: 4.5
