Monday’s Horse Racing Tips: Kempton, January 23rd
Today’s Horse Racing Tips – January 23rd
There are 3 AW meetings to keep the show on the road on Monday, with low grade action throughout the afternoon and evening from Kempton, Southwell and Wolverhampton. The floodlights come on at 4.20pm at the latter venue, with 5 (of the 7 races) on the card handicaps. Ffos Las hope to stage an additional jumps fixture if beating the freezing spell of weather, with deep ground likely and the emphasis on stamina.

Lordsbridge Girl
Kempton 1:50 (UK time)
William Knight’s filly improved to get off the mark over this course and distance at the sixth time of asking, and there should be more to come as she becomes more settled in the early part of her races. Jamie Spencer is back up again in a weak looking class 6 handicap, and she can defy a new mark with the minimum of fuss against more exposed AW regulars.
Odds: NA

Thomas Equinas
Kempton 1:20 (UK time)
Dean Ivory’s 4-y-o remains a maiden after 9 career starts, but he might just have been running himself fit in recent weeks at Chelmsford and will appreciate the switch to this AW surface. He is now down to a basement mark of just 52 having shaped with promise in better races in the past, and this class 6 sprint handicap represents his best opportunity to finally get off the mark under Nicola Currie.
Odds: NA
