There are 3 meetings in Britain on Monday, with competitive jumps action from Kempton, Ludlow and Musselburgh. All three tracks place the emphasis on speed and usually drain very quickly, so the recent rain across the country has been very welcome (and has helped with field sizes). The listed mares hurdle at 2.55pm at the Sunbury venue provides some welcome
quality, and the leading trainer at the track Nicky Henderson is sure to have his eyes on the prize.

Kempton 12:40 (UK time)
Tom Lacey haas hit form with a vengeance in recent weeks, and his promising novice made a cracking start to hurdling when finishing second to the well backed 8/11f Leave of Absence at Ascot last month. He pulled ten lengths clear of the rest there in a true run race on decent ground, and a positive ride from the front by Stan Sheppard should make him very hard to beat
round this track.

Kempton 1:50 (UK time)
Fergal O’Brien’s stayer has run really well in victory and defeat in recent months, and a switch to a right handed track at Kempton on Monday should bring about some improvement. He is a strong traveller who needs settling in the early stages and producing late, and the talented claimer Liam Harrison should get a strong pace to aim at with a couple of likely frontrunners in the line up.
Odds: NA
