There are five meetings in Britain and Ireland on Monday, with Gowran Park, Kempton (AW), Musselburgh, Windsor and Yarmouth providing some competitive decent quality flat action to keep bookmakers and punters busy through to the evening. The recent rain has eased conditions across the country, and this can be a tricky time for punters as plenty of horses will have had enough for the season.
In this article:
Langholm
Musselburgh 3:35 (UK time)
Michael Dods consistent handicapper has been running really well in defeat for most of the summer, and has optimum conditions at Musselburgh on Monday to snap a frustrating spell of near-misses. He is something of a Catterick specialist (last six starts have come at the Yorkshire venue), but this track will also play to his strengths and the likely easy ground conditions are no issue at all.
Odds: NA
Glorious Angel
Musselburgh 4:10 (UK time)
Grant Tuer’s filly has plenty of early speed at her disposal, and this sharp track should suit ideally under regular rider Sam James. She is best dominating from the stalls, and has shaped better than the bare result on a few occasions recently (despite a losing run stretching back to Newcastle on the all-weather in January).
Odds: NA
