Saturday’s ITV cameras cover the best of the action from Kempton, Warwick and Wetherby, with 8 races on the programme and a brilliant mix of Graded action and competitive handicaps for punters to get stuck into. Ground conditions have improved after a dry week across the country, but things are sure to be on the softer side away from the Sunbury venue (very quick drying track and always more about speed).

1:10	Wetherby	Colonel Harry	Jamie Snowden has a cracking team of young horses to go to war with this winter, and his progressive chaser lost no caste in defeat when second behind Le Patron last time out at Sandown. He is a sound jumper who maintains a relentless gallop throughout, and more positive tactics are on the cards here under the red-hot Gavin Sheehan (with the step up in trip to an extended 2m3f expected to unlock further improvement).
1:15	Warwick	Etalon	Dan Skelton’s novice has always been held in high regard at home, and he jumped superbly when making a winning chasing debut/seasonal reappearance at Newbury in December on soft ground. The handicapper has not missed him for that rout, but he looks a graded performer in the making and can take this prize under Harry Skelton before stepping up in class in the coming months.

1:49	Warwick	J’Ai Froid	Laura Morgan has endured a quiet few months, but recent signs are more encouraging, and her consistent handicapper deserves extra credit for running so well at a time when his stablemates were largely underperforming. This 3m1f test of stamina should be ideal on soft ground under John Kington, and his proven race-fitness could count for plenty against rivals who may not be cherry-ripe for this qualifier.

2:24	Warwick	Apple Away	Lucinda Russell has her team in blistering form at the moment, and her high class hurdler translated that ability to fences when routing a weak field at Leicester last time out. This Grade 2 represents a far stiffer assignment, but her jumping looks a real asset and there should still be plenty more to come after just two starts over fences so far. The promising Patrick Wadge replaces Derek Fox on board, and he is riding with maximum confidence at the moment after numerous winners in the past few weeks.
2:42	Kempton	Kaleb	Amy Murphy’s handicapper shaped really well in defeat on his first two runs this season, and can be excused a lesser effort when only seventh last time out in a stronger Cheltenham contest. He has only won 1 from 10 career starts over hurdles so far, but this slight step up in trip to 2m5f should suit ideally and he represents excellent value at the current prices, with Jack Quinlan knowing his quirks well.
3:00	Warwick	Credo	Anthony Honeyball’s thorough stayer is not quite as straightforward as her form figures suggest, but she has long shaped as though a real marathon would suit and comes here on the back of a career best effort in the mud at Haydock (staying on strongly up the long straight over 3m2f behind the prolific Famous Bridge). The booking of the excellent Sam Twiston-Davies also increases confidence, and plenty of these rivals are easy to oppose at the moment.
