1:54	Newbury	ISSAM	Tom Symonds has a cracking team of young horses to go to war with this season, and his useful five time winning handicapper is entitled to sharpen up for the run at Ffos Las on his return. That form has been well franked by the runner-up Steel Ally winning at Haydock last Saturday and, with the yard now firing in the winners (2 in the last fortnight), he should go well here with conditions to suit under Jordan Nailor.

2:25	Newbury	CASTELFORT	Jane Williams unexposed handicapper looks on a very handy mark on this seasonal reappearance, and should go really close under David Noonan (with conditions to suit and the yard hitting form after a quiet start to the jumps season proper).

He was going strongly when falling at the 16th on his seasonal reappearance at Wincanton behind Al Dancer, and can gain compensation here if that has not left a mark.
3:35	Newbury	BEAU BALKO	Paul Nicholls progressive chaser stripped fitter for the run when winning at Wincanton last time out, and he can defy a small rise up the weights at Newbury on Saturday. His sound jumping should be a real asset over these demanding fences, and the switch to a left handed track is a definite plus under Harry Cobden.
