There are four meetings in Britain and Ireland on Sunday, with competitive jumps action from Kempton, Limerick and Sedgefield dominating. Field sizes are traditionally small at the Sunbury venue for their season-opener, with Nicky Henderson maintaining a remarkable strike rate around 35pc over the years, although a wet week should mean the ground has eased dramatically. Flat fans have huge fields to study at Leopardstown, with testing ground assured and the action getting underway at 1.35pm.

Kempton 2:20 (UK time)
Dan Skelton is maintaining a terrific strike as the jumps season proper kicks into gear, and his promising novice is fancied to make a winning second start over fences at Kempton on Sunday. He has the size and scope to take to this game (showing promise under a patient ride at Warwick last month), and wont mind the testing ground expected after a very wet week in the Sunbury area.
Odds: NA

Joe Tizzard’s handicapper proved expensive and frustrating to follow over hurdles all last winter, finishing in the frame on all seven occasions but failing to get his head in front. He has a good make up to make a winning reappearance here, with the switch to chasing expected to bring about improvement (has scope and a chaser on looks), and the booking of Brendan Powell a big plus.
Odds: NA
