There are four scheduled meetings in Britain and Ireland on Sunday, with NH fans in for an informative afternoon. They have Leopardstown and Musselburgh to study on drying ground, with some top class Graded action to try to solve at the Irish venue (and a huge crowd assured for the very popular Dublin Racing Festival). AW fans have lower grade cards to study at Lingfield and Newcastle, with the lights coming on at 5.30pm on Tyneside and the handicaps looking especially competitive for the time of year.
In this article:
Curley Finger
Musselburgh 3:00 (UK time)
Rebecca Menzies handicapper returned to form to land quite a gamble at Newcastle last time out, and can defy a small rise back up the weights at Musselburgh on Sunday. He is best frontrunning and finding for pressure, and these drying ground conditions round this speed track should suit ideally under Nathan Moscrop.
Odds: NA
Petit Tonnerre
Musselburgh 3:35 (UK time)
Jonjo O’Neill’s classy chaser has been running well in defeat in warm company all winter, and has an excellent make up to swoop late here (with a few likely frontrunners in the line up). The 6-y-o caught the eye under a negative ride at Cheltenham last time out, and remains with potential over fences after just three career starts so far.
Odds: NA
