There are seven meetings in Britain and Ireland on Thursday, with competitive flat racing dominating from Chepstow, Epsom, Hamilton, Leicester and Leopardstown. NH fans have the cards at Killarney and Worcester to get studying, with the evening action getting underway at 5.00pm at the Irish venue.

Hamilton 2:20 (UK time)
Charlie Johnston’s scopey 2-y-o weakened out of the places over six furlongs here last time out, and that has certainly helped with his opening handicap mark now tackling nurseries for the first time. He remains with plenty of potential to improve after just three career starts, and a positive ride from Joe Fanning dropping back to 5f could soon have these rivals out of their comfort zone.

Zegos Surprise
Hamilton 2:50 (UK time)
Iain Jardine’s frustrating handicapper has been shaping well in defeat in recent weeks both on the turf and the all-weather, and a return to softer ground back on the turf can see her end a long losing run that stretches back to March 2021. She caught the eye over this course and distance in June under an inexperienced lady amateur (dropped out/finished well on the wrong side), and a switch to more positive tactics against the favoured rail could make her very hard to pass here.
Odds: NA
