They have Hamilton, Leicester, Newcastle, Newmarket and Nottingham to study, with some tough handicaps to try to solve at HQ (and the top local yards sure to be well represented in the traditionally strong novice/maiden contests).

Jack Jones consistent handicapper has been frustrating to follow in recent months, finishing in the frame on nine occasions since arriving from Richard Hannon in the winter (and undergoing a gelding operation). He has optimum conditions at Newmarket on Thursday, with fast ground to suit and the excellent Oisin Murphy looking to put his head in front right on the line.
