There are 6 meetings in Britain and Ireland on a busy Thursday of racing, with the highlight coming at HQ where the three day Cambridgeshire meeting gets underway at 1.15pm. The Group 3 Tattersalls Stakes at 3.00pm is the best race of the afternoon, with some useful 2-y-o’s entered up over the 7f trip and £60,000 in prize money on offer. Elsewhere, flat fans can get suck into the cards at Chelmsford, Listowel, Pontefract and Southwell, while Perth are sure to get a huge jumping crowd for their final meeting of the summer season.

Newmarket 1:50 (UK time)
Charlie Appleby’s colt has landed the odds in two novice stakes in recent weeks at Newmarket and Kempton, and now looks on a fair mark now tackling nurseries for the first time. He has already proven his stamina over the mile trip, so a positive ride on the decent ground is very much on the cards from William Buick, and there should be plenty more improvement in the tank after just three career starts.
Odds: NA
Tarhib
Newmarket 2:25 (UK time)
William Haggas has maintained a fantastic strike rate for most of the summer, and this progressive filly is fancied to win her second race of the season at Newmarket on Thursday. She has improved run to run since going handicapping on some good fast ground, and impressed when landing strong market confidence at Yarmouth last time out (forced to switch when cruising but readily asserting for just hand riding).
Odds: NA
