There are six scheduled meetings in Britain and Ireland on Thursday, with NH fans in for an informative afternoon. They have Clonmel, Naas, Southwell and Warwick to study on testing ground, with some decent handicaps to try to solve at the Midlands venue. AW fans have decent grade action to study at Lingfield and Wolverhampton, with the lights coming on at 5.30pm at Dunstall Park and the low grade handicaps looking especially competitive for the time of year.
In this article:
R Bernard
Warwick 3.25 (UK time)
Mel Rowley does really well with limited resources, and her maiden handicapper shaped with promise on stable debut at Southwell in March (heavily backed but wide trip throughout and tired two out in a creditable third). He remains potentially very well treated on the pick of his form for Sam Allwood, and this looks a very winnable Class 5 contest at Warwick on Thursday (with testing ground expected to suit over the sapping 3m2f trip and Tabitha Worsley booked).
Odds: 5.00
Kap Chidley
Warwick 3.55 (UK time)
Tim Vaughan’s chaser has become disappointing and slipped down the weights in recent months, but this represents another drop in class last time and he can bounce back to form here under Alan Johns. He remains open to improvement after just eight career starts over fences, and this 2m4f trip on testing ground would be his optimum against some pretty opposable rivals.
Odds: 6.00
