There are four race meetings in Britain on Friday, with competitive jumps cards at Doncaster and Huntingdon the highlight. All-weather fans can attack the afternoon card at Lingfield, with a twilight meeting at Wolverhampton  to follow under lights from 4.45pm

Emma Lavelle’s point winner made a very promising hurdling debut at Haydock last month, despite getting loose and unseating his rider before the start, finishing a close second behind the useful previous winner Jungle Jack. There is loads more improvement in the tank as he becomes more tractable, and this better ground and speed track is expected to suit ideally at Huntingdon on Friday.

Harry Whittingdon’s free-going hurdler has always been a chaser on looks, and she had excuses when disappointing on really deep ground here last time out. Her best effort over timber came when allowed to stride on from the front on decent ground, and this sharp right handed track on drying ground will be ideal if those tactics are reemployed here.
