There are five race meetings in Britain and Ireland on Thursday, with some competitive jumps action from Exeter, Fos Las and Naas. There are four handicaps on the card at Exeter, where easy ground should mean the field sizes are huge (at a track that usually does very well for runners). All-weather fans can enjoy the new surface at Southwell in the afternoon, and a twilight meeting at Chelmsford starting at 4pm.

Michael Scudamore’s maiden hurdler has shaped well under positive rides in two runs so far over hurdles at Ffos Las, possibly overdoing things from the front last time when very heavily backed. He will be suited by a drop back to two miles at Exeter on Thursday, and can put his experience to good use under Richie McClernon.
