There are five race meetings in Britain and Ireland on Wednesday, with quality NH action from Newbury and Leicester. AW flat fans will enjoy the competitive cards at Lingfield in the afternoon, with twilight action from Kempton and Dundalk. The best race on the card comes from Newbury at 2.00pm, where some high class mares battle out for a valuable Class 1 Listed Chase.

Nicky Henderson’s highly regarded novice suffered a shock defeat when only third on his hurdling debut at Exeter last month, but that form now looks a lot stronger after the subsequent run of the winner JPR One. He raced freely and ran green under pressure there, so is confidently expected to improve dramatically for that initial experience (reported to be the yards main hope for the Supreme Novice at the Cheltenham Festival in March).

with plenty of improvement in the tank.
