There are five meetings in Britain and Ireland on Tuesday, with Beverley, Cork, Lingfield (AW), Newcastle (AW) and Nottingham providing some competitive if modest low grade flat action to keep bookmakers and punters busy throughout the afternoon and evening.
In this article:
Circus Lion
Beverley 3:25 (UK time)
Bryan Smart has a typically strong hand in the juvenile division (with his team flying at the moment), and his progressive 2-y-o has run well twice in defeat at a useful level in the north so far. He shaped a lot better than the bare result at Redcar last time out when a well backed second behind Townsend Manor (tactically advantaged from the front/making all at a fast pace), and this stiffer track on eased ground should suit ideally under Graham Lee.
Odds: NA
Recorwoman
Beverley 2:15 (UK time)
Ivan Furtado does well with a fairly small team of horses, and his filly landed quite an inspired big priced gamble at Nottingham last time out 70 days ago despite plenty going wrong in the run (pulled hard in rear initially and the idling in front as the front two came well clear). Soft ground clearly suits ideally so the recent rain is very much in her favour, while there could be a bit more to come if she can settle down early in her races (with the promising claimer Elle May Croot back in the saddle taking off 5lb).
Odds: NA
