There are three meetings in Britain on Tuesday, with competitive soft ground low grade jumps action from Fontwell sure to attract the bulk of the betting interest. All-weather fans have the evening card at Southwell to study, with the lights coming on at 5.30pm. For followers of the turf, Thirsk stage their first fixture of the season, with big fields assured on testing ground and stakes best kept to a minimum for punting purposes.

Fontwell 2:30 (UK time)
Gary Moore has a terrific record at Fontwell, and his 6-y-o chaser has been found a really good opening to get off the mark over fences at the fourth time of asking. He ran really well round this unique track over 2m5f in February, tiring from two out in a creditable third, and that form has been franked since by the fourth Drop Him In landing a hefty gamble next time out. A positive ride will be needed back to 2m2f, but the talented 5lb claimer Caolin Quinn is a good booking and he should take plenry of passing if able to boss matters from the tape.
Odds: NA

Fontwell 3:00 (UK time)
Nick Gifford’s unexposed mare showed her first worthwhile form over timber when finishing a good second at Plumpton last time out (staying on well from off the pace), and this stiffer track over 2m2f should bring about more improvement. The yard has emerged from the doldrums in recent weeks, and she has a bit of upside in handicaps after just five career runs over hurdles.
Odds: NA
