Denis Coakley’s 6-y-o has been shaping a lot better than the bare result from a reduced handicap mark in recent weeks, and the booking of Oisin Murphy certainly catches the eye at Goodwood on Tuesday. He has won 7 of his 35 career starts, though is winless since Lingfield in July 2022, and a mark of 72 certainly gives him a chance to snap that losing run with decent, drying ground conditions expected to suit ideally.

Paul and Oliver Cole’s filly has run with credit in defeat twice since making a winning debut at Windsor in July, and she caught a tartar in Zoulu Chief on handicap debut at Windsor last time out (travelled up strongly but the all-the-way winner had flown). There should be plenty more improvement in the tank after just three career starts, and there should be plenty of pace on here to set things up for her late charge under the promising 5lb claimer Mohammed Tabti.
