There are 11 meetings in Britain and Ireland on Boxing day, with NH fans in for an extremely busy afternoon of top class jumping at all levels of competition. The highlight comes at Kempton, with the Grade 1 King George VI Chase at the Sunbury venue a cracking renewal spiced up by presence of Willie Mullins classy Allaho. AW fans have low grade action under the lights to study, with Wolverhampton sure to draw a big crowd for their twilight meeting.

Kempton 2:30 (UK time)
Paul Nicholls has a brilliant record in this prestigious prize over the years (13 wins), and his top class chaser seems sure to relish this right-handed track on drying ground under Harry Cobden. He has let down backers twice this winter, looking unlucky to lose at Wetherby first time up (blundered at the last when in command), and then rather ruined on the lead when brushed aside by Royale Pagaille at Haydock. This test should be ideal, and the fact he is unbeaten in two previous runs over this course and distance certainly increases confidence that he can see off the fragile Allaho (if it comes to a battle up the straight).

Kempton 12:45 (UK time)
Tom Lacey has his team in terrific form at the moment, and this progressive young chaser is fancied to relish the decent ground conditions expected at Kempton on Boxing Day. He made a cracking start over fences at Sandown in November, jumping soundly under a patient ride but bumping into the subsequent Grade 1 winner Le Patron. That form looks extremely strong now, and he can defy topweight under regular rider Stan Sheppard.
Odds: NA
