There are four scheduled meetings in Britain and Ireland on Tuesday, with NH fans in for a varied afternoon of competitive jumping. They have Ayr, Lingfield and Thurles to study on very deep ground, with some decent handicaps to try to solve at the Surrey venue. AW fans have much lower grade action to study at Newcastle, with the lights coming on at 4.25pm on Tyneside and the handicaps looking especially trappy for the time of year (watch for late market moves).

Jubilee Expeess
Taunton 3:05 (UK time)
Sam Thomas’s unexposed stayer has run well in defeat on both starts over fences this winter, and these testing ground conditions should suit ideally under a positive ride from the excellent Sam Twiston-Davies. He has long shaped as though a marathon test over this kind of trip is what he needs, and can improve past rivals who might not be at their best after a series of hard races in bad ground.
Odds: NA
Bampton Star
Taunton 3:40 (UK time)
Jeremy Scott’s unexposed novice showed a glimmer of ability over hurdles last season in relatively warm company, and could be worth chancing straight into handicaps on his reappearance at Lingfield on Tuesday (with this marked increase in trip expected to suit under Lorcan Williams). He has been allotted a basement opening mark to operate from, and the yard is now firing on all cylinders after a very quiet start to the season before Christmas.
Odds: NA
