There are three meetings in Britain on Tuesday, with competitive jumps action from Newcastle and Sandown certain to attract the vast majority of the betting activity. The drying ground has significantly reduced field sizes, although watering should mitigate the worst of the exceptionally dry spell of weather. For AW fans there is action from Southwell, with the lights coming on at 5.30pm and low grade handicaps the order of the day.

Sandown 2:25 (UK time)
Venetia Williams lightly raced 7-y-o made a pleasing chasing debut on his reappearance at Newbury in December, and that form has been well advertised since by the remote fourth Mongol Emperor winning a competitive Doncaster handicap on Saturday. Decent ground suits ideally judged on a previous Fontwell over hurdles, and he can improve past more exposed rivals at Sandown on Tuesday under a front-running ride from Charlie Deutsch.
Odds: NA
Bourbali
Sandown 3:35 (UK time)
Joe Tizzard now has his team back in terrific form after a quiet couple of months, and his 6-y-o has shaped better than the bare result on all four creditable runs so far this season. He will appreciate the stiff uphill finish on decent ground (course and distance winner last March on only previous visit to Sandown), and the booking of the excellent Brendan Powell certainly increases confidence.
Odds: NA
