There are 5 meetings in Britain and Ireland on Wednesday, with flat action from the Curragh, Kempton (AW) and Nottingham sure to provide some competitive action as the season draws to a close. Jumping fans have big fields to get stuck into at Chepstow, with the recent rain very welcome in easing the ground to the softer side, while there is lower grade action at Fakenham.

Jeremy Scott’s bumper and hurdle winner is very much a chaser on looks, and he is fancied to make a winning start over the larger obstacles at Chepstow on Wednesday. The yard had a welcome winner last week after largely missing out the summer altogether, and he has plenty of scope to keep on progressing after just 9 career starts at the age of six. A positive ride will be needed dropping back to a bare two miles on his seasonal debut, but regular rider Rex Dingle knows him well and a fluent round should see him go very close under topweight.

Paul Nicholls ex-French 5-y-o has taken typically a season to acclimatize to racing in the UK, but he looked vastly improved off a wind-operation when winning over this course and distance 19 days ago. The ground conditions will be a lot softer now from a new handicap mark, but he has previously run well in the mud and remains open to plenty of improvement after just eight runs over hurdles.
