There are four scheduled meetings in Britain and Ireland on Wednesday, with NH fans in for an informative afternoon. They have Exeter and Leicester to study on testing ground, with some decent handicaps to try to solve at the Devon venue. AW fans have decent grade action to study at Dundalk and Kempton, with the lights coming on at 5.30pm at the Sunbury venue and the handicaps looking especially trappy for the time of year.
In this article:
The Changing Man
Exeter 2:45 (UK time)
Joe Tizzard and Brendan Powell have teamed up to good effect on many occasions this winter, particularly around the West Country tracks, and the combination can strike again here on their 7-y-o chaser. He had little chance last time out behind Grey Dawning and Apple Away at Warwick in Grade 2 company, and this handicap looks a much more suitable opening (over a three mile trip on soft ground that should be ideal judged by his three wins previously over timber).
Odds: NA
Bonza Boy
Exeter 4:15 (UK time)
Jeremy Scott’s unexposed chaser has slipped quickly down the weights after two disappointing runs in bad ground so far this winter, and could be worth chancing here with the yard now going a lot better (with his fitness likely to have sharpened up considerably for the runs). He should relish a strongly run race in a big field over this 2m3f trip, and the booking of Lorcan Williams certainly increases confidence.
Odds: NA
